As thecapital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, the enchanting Hanoi is considered to be one ofcultural centers of Vietnam, where most of Vietnamese dynasties had left behind their imprint. Eventhough some relics have not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interestingcultural and historic monuments for visitors and residents alike.Your trip starts today with the warm welcome at the airport in Hanoi. We will have a guided half - daytour of Hanoi, visiting the Ngoc Son Temple and the legend Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake or the restoredsword). We will then enjoy the unique performance of Water Puppet show and have dinner at the localrestaurant.Overnight at hotel, Hanoi.Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B/L)As the capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, even when the nations capital moved to Hueunder the Nguyen dynasty in 1802, the city of Hanoi continued to flourish, especially after the French

The city boasts more than 1,000 years of history, and that of thepast few hundred years has been well preserved.You are picked at the hotel for a guided full day tour of Hanoi, visiting the major sights, including theTemple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and paying a homage to Vietnams most famous revolutionary,Ho Chi Minh. After lunch, we visit Ethnology Museum, the miniature of Vietnam with 54 ethnic groups.Here carry out scientific research, collection, documentation, conservation, exhibition and preservingthe cultural and historic patrimony of the nation’s ethnic groups. The museum also serves to guideresearch, conservation, and technology that are specific to the work of an ethnographic museum. Wewill then visit the Tran Quoc pagoda. This pagoda is well located beside the dazzling West Lake inHanoi, and is a cultural symbol of Vietnamese Buddhism. Tour ends at your hotel at about 5pm.Overnight at Hotel, Hanoi.Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)Halong Bay has twice been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Area for its exceptionalscenic beauty and outstanding geological and geomorphic values. Thousands of islands emerginguneven in the fanciful waves look strong and magnificent but also mild and vivid. Amidst theseislands, we feel as if we were astray in a petrified legendary world.8:00: You are picked up at the hotel. You can leave your luggage behind at the hotel in Hanoi andpack an overnight bag.12.15 pm: Arrive in Halong city, board our traditional wooden junk boat for an overnight journey. Sipon a refreshing welcome drink upon check in before you begin the cruise through the bay. Feast on adelicious lunch as you cruise among hundreds of islets (Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi – Fighting Cockislet, Dog islet, Finger islet, etc.) to discover untouched pockets of Halong Bay and visit Sung Sotcave, which is situated in the centre of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area and is one of themost imposing grottos of the Bay. You will then have chance to explore Halong bay on your own bykayaking from the Soi Sim beach to Luon Cave to enjoy the quite atmosphere of the bay.   • 3. Hue is located in Thua Thien prefecture and is in the central part of Vietnam, 660 km from Ha Noi and1080 km from Saigon. Hue became the name of Vietnams most well known ancient capital because ofthe local mispronunciation of the word Hoá in Thuân Hoá. Here remains many historical buildings as acapital of the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945). Inside the city are the Royal Citadel, Flag Tower, RoyalPalace, and Royal Tombs. Hue’s Forbidden Purple City was once reserved for the royal family; it wasseverely damaged during the War. Outside the city is the religious site known as Nam Giao Hill, orHeaven’s Altar.We will take the flight to Hue in the morning for full day tour. Our visiting sites includes Old ImperialCity, Flag Tower, Thien Mu Pagoda, Royal Tomb of Khai Dinh. Our exciting day ends with romanticcruise on the Perfume River with Royal music on boat.Overnight at hotel, Hue.Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B/L)Hoi An was originally a Cham port town, but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad oftraders from various cultures. There is a distinctly Chinese appearance with pagodas and assemblyhalls scattered along the small streets. Hoi An was once a bustling port in centuries gone by, beforethe river silted up.We travel by private vehicle from Hue to Da Nang - Journey south along Highway 1 past the Hai VanPass and Lang Co. We will visit Cham Museum, Marble Mountain. Upon arrival in Hoi An, an ancienttrading center, we have lunch.In the afternoon, we have a half day tour to see a historic house, the Japanese Covered Bridge, aChinese assembly hall. We enjoy a free afternoon to make the most of delightful Hoi An and itssurrounding areas. The market is a good place to buy silk that can be made up into fine garments, allwithin a day. Close to town is the Cua Dai beach, which can be reached easily by bicycle, is an idealplace to swim and relax.Overnight at Hotel, Hoi An.Day 7: Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)Ho Chi Minh City was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina and later of the independentstate of South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. Since then, the city merged with the surrounding provinceof Gia Định and was officially renamed Hồ Chí Minh City. This is the largest city in Vietnam and thenations economic capital. The metropolitan area Hồ Chí Minh City and surrounding towns, ispopulated by more than 9 million.We take a short city tour to the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and Notre DameCathedral. You will also admire the many beautiful French colonial buildings such as the main postoffice and the former Hotel de Ville (city hall). If time permits, we will visit the bustling Cho LonMarket (Chinatown). This trip helps you view the city from another perspective and to see theabundance of fresh local produce that is such an important feature of Vietnamese cuisine.Overnight at Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.Day 8: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi tunnels - departure (B/L)Today we will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network (approximately 200kilometers) of tunnels dug initially by the Viet Minh and later expanded by the Viet Cong. The tunnelscontained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used extensively for refuge andstorage and also utilized as a military base for the Viet Cong close to Saigon.
