 Sensex posted a gain after witnessing three consecutive day
loss. The thirty share index ended at 17503.24 points with a
gain of 357.72 points and fifty share index closed at 5333.55
points with a gain of 113.10 points on NSE.
 Out of the total shares traded on BSE, 1,845 shares were
surged and 989 shares were declined
 Sensex touched an intraday high of 17531.62 points and an
intraday low of 17325.82 points

2.  Jindal steel gained 6.83%, Tata steel rallied 6.74% and ICICI bank
soared 6.22%
 The sectors, capital Goods, Metal banking stocks were witnessed
good buying interest but the IT stocks declined after dollar value
depreciated in overseas market.
 Except consumer durables sector, other indices were ended on
green note
 MCX surged 26% during the debt trade on Friday. The stock was
seen at Rs.1297 on market close
 India’s exports surged 4.3% to $24.6 billion and imports surged
20.6% to $39.8 billion, resulting into an trade deficit of 15.2 billion
dollar in February
 Tata steel has increased the prices of steel by Rs.1000 per tonne.
