Illnesses, injuries, chronic health problems, lifestyle choices and other factors can play a role in causing male infertility. The global incidence of infertility is about 13–18%, to which male infertility contributes approximately 50%. In India, nearly 10% of all married couples experience infertility despite unprotected intercourse. Male factor infertility and female factor infertility contribute equally to a couple’s infertility. Treatment of male infertility depends on the cause how long you’ve been infertile, your age and personal preferences. Often, an exact cause of infertility can’t be identified. Even if an exact cause isn’t clear, your doctor may be able to recommend treatments that work. 4. 4. Visit us at: www.indiacarez.com Different Types of Procedures for Infertility Treatment in India 1. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) : IVF stands for in vitro fertilization, which literally means "in lab conception." With IVF treatment, the egg is fertilized with sperm in a petri dish. Typically, many eggs are retrieved from the biological mother(who may ormay not be the intended parent), as not every egg will fertilize, and not every fertilized egg will become a viable embryo. IVF Treatment is most useful for : Endometriosis  Male Factor Infertility  Unexplained Infertility  Cervical Factor Infertility  Ovulation Disorders Please scan and email your medical reports to us at hospitalindia@gmail.com or hospitalindia@yahoo.com and we shall get you a Free, No Obligation Opinion from India's leading Specialist Doctors

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): Intrauterine insemination (IUI) involves preparing the male partners sperm in the laboratory and then placing those sperm which move well, into the women’s uterus. It is an OPD procedure and does not cause pain. The technique involves placing the sperms directly into the uterus using a vaginal speculum and a fine catheter to deposit the sperm within the uterus (womb) through the vagina. Insemination is carried out once or twice during a woman's fertile period of the menstrual cycle as close to ovulation as possible. Fertility medications may be needed to stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs. In general intrauterine insemination is a good assisted conception treatment if it is performed to overcome a problem of lack or absence of sperm i.e. using donor sperm for severe male subfertility. It is also very successful if intercourse is not occurring normally such as in cases of ejaculation dysfunction (ED). 6. 6. Visit us at: www.indiacarez.com 3. Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): The introduction of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) has revolutionized the management of male infertility. Here, a single sperm is injected directly into an egg; this procedure is most commonly used to overcome male infertility problems. Following egg retrieval, sperm is injected into the egg. About 70 percent of eggs get fertilized. Fertilization is confirmed 18-24 hours after retrieval. ICSI is a highly successful technique used to help couples who have previously failed to achieve conception with standard IVF. Why is ICSI Done?  Very Low Sperm Count  Abnormally Shaped Sperm  Poor Sperm Movement Please scan and email your medical reports to us at hospitalindia@gmail.com or hospitalindia@yahoo.com and we shall get you a Free, No Obligation Opinion from India's leading Specialist Doctors
  7. 7. Visit us at: www.indiacarez.com What are the advantages of ICSI : ICSI may give you and your partner a chance of conceiving your genetic child when other options are closed to you.  If your partner is too anxious to ejaculate on the day of egg collection for standard IVF, sperm can instead be extracted for ICSI.  ICSI can also be used to help couples with unexplained infertility. Though experts haven't found that ICSI makes pregnancy any more likely than standard IVF.  ICSI doesn't appear to affect how children conceived via the procedure develop mentally or physically.
