  • 5. Interim management; why did it become successful?
    • Speed: Interim Managers can be in place within days as opposed to weeks/months for a permanent hire
    • Experience: Interim Managers are usually overqualified for the job they take on and therefore stepping down in responsibility
    • Objectivity: No previous involvement in company processes or staff relationships. Bring in fresh perspectives, interim managers are free to concentrate on what is best for the business

  • 6. Interim management; why did it become successful?
    • Accountability: Interim Managers do not take on an advisory role (as a management consultant would). Interim Manager are responsible and accountable line managers who will implement and manage a business or project
    • Effectiveness: Operating at or near board-level gives Interim Managers the authority to effect significant change or transition within a company

  • 7. Interim management; why did it become successful?
    • Commitment: Interim Managers are typically committed to an interim career. Taking on a interim assignment is usually not a way to keep themselves busy until a permanent job has been secured.
    • Interim Managers enjoy the challenges of different assignments, take pride in maintaining the highest standards while realizing that they are only ever as good as their last job
