Burlington, Ontario glimpse of the past…
The Burlington Races in the War of 1812, Lake Ontario, 28 September 1813.
The original Freeman Train Station in Burlington. Built in 1890, and destroyed byfire in 1906, it was replaced by a building known as the Grand Trunk RailwayStation. The station provided an important transportation link for area farmers.
This early Packard was one of the first vehicles in Burlington. Thecar was owned by one of Burlingtons most distinguished citizensof the early 1900s, A.B. Coleman, owner of the popular BrantHotel and the Brant Inn.
