This document describes an integrated environment for dynamic simulation called OmegaLand developed by Yokogawa. It provides high fidelity simulation of chemical processes through modular software. Key features include graphical model building, engineering displays, saving/loading plant conditions, and adjustable simulation speed. It can connect directly to DCS for realistic operator training. Optional modules provide evaluation of trainee performance, replay of simulation sessions, and interface to other applications through OPC. 2. OmegaLand History
OmegaLand is a joint venture between Yokogawa and
Mitsui Chemicals
1993 Jointly developed the Plantutor training simulator
system, by taking advantage of the know-how
of Yokogawa’s plant control system and MCI’s physical
property and technical calculation software for the
