3 False Views of Hell
Only a “warning.” God just uses “hell” to scare us.
Hell isn’t as bad as it’s described in the Bible; it’s just not as good as heaven.
It only lasts a while; not eternally (annihilationism).

Psalm 9:17, “…shall be turned into hell.”
Proverbs 15:24, “The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below.” (If hell isn’t real, why try to avoid it?)
Matthew 5:29, Jesus said some would be “cast into hell.”
Second Peter 2:4, “For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment.”
David, Solomon, Jesus and Peter (and others) all taught that hell is real.

Avoid the one in Hell
“ Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:7-8).
