moved out of her parents home and to a brand new town, Lake City. As a fortune sim, Maisy wanted to make her own money in the world, buy her own home and not rely on the wealth her family had accumulated over the years. So, here she is now! An adult, a first-time homeowner and the current heiress of The Clark Legacy!!! :)
Thank you all for coming back to read. Let's start this chapter out with a little recap. Last time you read about the family, Maisy Clark was named the generation four heiress. She rolled a fortune aspiration upon the night of her and her two brother's birthday. Maisy promptly
the next few days while she searched for her dream career, in the architecture field. It was proving harder than she thought (even with the computer from Mr. Humble) to find her desired career. In the mean time she passed the days by tending to her plants. And under her TLC they were soon blossoming into fruit bearing trees and bushes!
Maisy planted a small garden consisting of ten tomato plants, an apple tree and a lemon tree. Although to some the home garden may seem meager, even miniscule, it was enough to keep Maisy happy. She desired something to occupy her time over
Soon the visitors arrived to welcome Maisy to Lake City. One of the passersby caught Maisy's eye. Simon McCaffery, a CAS made sim, was just what she was looking for: handsome, young and red headed!
Apparently Maisy was just what Simon wanted too! It was almost as the duo was made for each other* ;) *Simon was made by me in CAS after a week went by and Maisy hadn't found a beau.
that surrounded her home in a moat-like fashion. Fishing was the perfect first date! Simon and Maisy got to know each other and enjoy laughing at Simon's horrible luck. Maisy seemed to practically pull three fish out of the water at once, not only that they were gigantic fish! Simon hadn't managed to even catch a small fish!
Simon and Maisy had their first day they very same day they met. It was as if they were made for each other ;) Instead of going out for dinner or a day at the park, Maisy suggested they spend some time fishing in the small pond
Maisy continued to reel in the big fish. She caught three different types of fish throughout the date. They would make a great dinner to serve to Simon on another date.
Simon didn't manage to catch a fish during the date, but he did reel in an impressive sized dirty boot with the front part peeling up.
The date with Simon McCaffery improved Maisy's fun and social needs greatly. It must have also improved her luck, because she found the Architecture career track after days of
desperately skimming the computer and newspaper! Maisy started out as a brick layer; not a very impressive title, but one day she'll reach the top!
The night after the couple's first date, Simon called Maisy to see how she was doing. What a gentleman! :) Maisy invited him over for dinner and he agreed. They talked more about themselves and got to know each other a little deeper over a plate of salad followed, of course, by some bass with squash.
All day long Maisy kept thinking about Simon and their fun fishing date. There wasn't a moment that passed, or a brick that wasn't laid down without Maisy thinking of her crush. She just had to go on another date, and soon!
Over the course of the night Maisy found out that Simon was a Family sim with the life goal to see six of his own children wed the love of their lives. It became obvious early on that Simon was a kind
hearted and family oriented man. Over a game of chess Maisy also learned that the man had a brain! She could feel herself falling in love with him quickly, she knew she'd better hang onto him.
The morning after their second date, Maisy couldn't wait to see Simon again! Feeling silly and a bit like a stalker, she decided to phone him to see if he'd like to hang out before she had to go to work. Of course he said yes and rushed right over!
It was a good thing Maisy decided to follow her heart! Flirting turned into kissing and not just any kiss, Maisy's first kiss! She felt as if the world around her was spinning, she could feel butterflies fluttering in her stomach. This kiss was the best moment of her life by far. And then the carpool began honking outside!
Even though Maisy never wanted to stop kissing her boyfriend, she knew she had to go to work to earn her paycheck! She was in such a great mood when she went to work it was contagious! She was smiling at everyone, and her boss took notice of her enthusiasm. She earned her first promotion and pay raise!
Almost as soon as Simon walked in the door, he dropped down on one knee. No. . . not the proposal kind of “one knee”. The serenading kind! He sang of his love to Maisy. This was the moment the couple fell in love. Of course, the rest of the date had a lot of kissing, hugging and smiling :D
Maisy wasted no time before she called Simon to invite him over for dinner. She jumped in the shower, combed her hair, threw on her clothes in a rush then was finally able to call her beloved boyfriend. He rushed over to her home for their dinner date.
The poor garden had been neglected since Simon came into Maisy's life. She decided to dedicate the weekend off work to nourishing her garden back to health! Naturally, only one thing was on her mind though: Simon!
Nights were beginning to get lonely for Maisy. She always wished that a certain someone were there laying beside her as she fell asleep. She hated going to sleep without kissing him goodnight, or waking up and him not being there. Dating was no longer enough. Maisy yearned to have Simon to herself night and day! It was then she knew what she had to do.
“ Simon, I can't go another day without having you by my side. I want you to be the last thing I see at night and the first thing I wake up to. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and have babies and have my happily ever after with you. Will you marry me?” Maisy recited. “ Oh, Maisy! Of course, yes, yes, YES!” And with those words, Simon moved in as Maisy's fiance :)
The next morning Maisy called her love once again to invite him over on a date. Little did Simon know this day would end with just more than a kiss goodbye. When he arrived he found Maisy kneeling on one knee in her garden.
Life was settling into place for Maisy and Simon. Simon had found a job working with children in the education career, which fitted his Family aspiration. Just when things were falling into place something happened so shake things up! Simon was spraying pesticides on the plants when all of a sudden a green smoke surrounded him! Simon began coughing uncontrollably and felt very dizzy. . .
When the mysterious green cloud disappeared Simon scratched his head in wonder. Where there had previously been hair, leaves now stood. He looked at his green skin and it became obvious what had just happened – he'd turned into a plant sim! Simon was shocked, scared and mostly determined to find a way to reverse this.
It would reverse the symptoms: the green skin, leafy hair and he would have his same moods back. It was costly, but Simon agreed, he'd do anything to be his old self again. He didn't like this plant thing!
That very night Simon called the matchmaker. He had heard she sold potions to reverse any type of curse, plantism, vampirism, anything! Debbie the Matchmaker made her way over to the Clark home to sell Simon a bottle of Plant-O-Phoric. She promised
The process of changing from plant sim to sim wasn't painless. Simon gulped down the horrific tasting pink liquid and almost immediately things were changing. He felt tingly all over and he heard loud popping sounds in his ears. Simon was lifted into the air, wriggling in pain. Nobody else seemed to notice!
Thankfully the potion worked! It was very painful and loud, but Simon was extremely happy it had worked! He was back to his old self again. The process wasn't something he wanted to repeat, so he decided to be more careful using the pesticides next time. Maybe they'd take out the plants all together now that Simon had seen the dangers of caring for the vegetable garden.
After Simon's ordeal with the pesticides the previous night, the couple decided to get away from it all and take a vacation! After digging up all the plants from the garden (they didn't want to take any chances with this happening again)
Maisy called the cab and they were off to Twikki Island for a few days. They were both excited to take vacation from work and spend some time together on a romantic beach getaway!
They couple had twenty thousand dollars to their names. It was a combination of Maisy's money and the money Simon brought with him when he moved in. This nice chunk of money meant they could afford to stay in the nicest hotel possible. It was almost eight hundred dollars a night, but Simon decided to splurge on his precious fiance. He signed the book for one master suite bedroom with a connected bathroom. It was a large price to pay for a three day, two
night stay, but he was sure it would be worth every penny spent. The hotel was even right on the beach!
Maisy and Simon wasted no time checking out the rest of the hotel. They threw their luggage down in their room, changed into swim suits and ran to hit the beach! Maisy laid a towel down and took a nap while the sun kissed her green skin.
Simon played in the sand like a child. He was excited as he unearthed many different shells, clams and even jewelry necklaces! He was already having a blast and they hadn't left the hotel yet!
After a fun day in the sun, the duo went to the boardwalk on the beach to sample the local cuisine. Maisy had the pinapple surprise and Simon enjoyed the flavorful mahi mahi. Both agreed that the islanders made delicious dishes!
He grabbed his fiance by the arm and pulled in close. Together they danced until the song came to an end. It was the perfect end to their first day on vacation.
The day was coming to an end. When the sun went down there wasn't much left for them to do on the board walk. As they were heading to call the cab to go back to the hotel for the night, Simon heard the slow music playing on the speakers.
When they arrived back at the hotel it was getting to be very late. They called room service and ordered a plate of hot pork chops for dinner. There was something very romantic about eating dinner and listening to the waves hit the beach. Simon
couldn't take his eyes of Maisy, he was so in love with her. “ Let's get married tomorrow. On the beach.” Simon blurted out. Maisy raised her eyebrows in surprise. It was a crazy suggestion, but very spontaneous and she loved the idea. “ That sounds great, Simon.” Maisy's stomach filled with butterflies and she couldn't wait for the sun to come up, for her wedding day to arrive!
The morning dawned quicker than they could imagine. Simon got dressed and went down to the beach to wait on his bride. Maisy took her time getting ready, then walked down to the beach. They exchange short vows as the waves rolled in gently and licked their feet. The rings were placed on each others left hand ring fingers and the deal was sealed. They were now husband and wife!
The newlyweds changed clothes and headed out for breakfast – more pineapple surprise! Over breakfast they discussed having children. Simon let Maisy know he wanted to have a big bundle of babies! He didn't know it then, but
Simon would certainly get his wish in a way he'd never expected!
After heading back to the hotel to celebrate their marrige in a very intimate way, the couple headed out for a night of culture. They went to the Ancient Runes to view what people had built thousands of years ago! It was amazing to see the great stone statues still standing to that date.
also still in tact. As soon as the suds hit the water, lava began shooting out of mouth of the animal. Maisy screamed in shock and the couple ran away to avoid any questions from wandering tourists, or worse, the tour guides anger!
Simon couldn't resist adding a little soap to the statue's waterfall. How funny would it be to see millions of bubbles coming out of this ancient statue! To his horror, however, Simon quickly discovered that the ancient curse was
The Clark's had enjoyed their beachy vacation. It was short, but certainly fun for both! They'd found shells in the sand, danced on the boardwalk, visitied ancient runes and even got married on a whim! Overall it was a fantastic vacation!
It was the last night before they had to depart and go back to their regular lives in Lake City. They relaxed and soaked in the hot springs for an hour before heading back to the hotel to catch up on some much needed sleep!
All good things must come to an end sometime. Early the next morning Simon checked himself and his new wife out of the hotel and they got their things together to leave. They took one last look around the hotel before getting into the cab. They'd had a wonderful time and would be sure to come back with their kids one day.
She was happy she was going to have a baby and that she and Simon were going to be parents. But she'd also heard the horror stories of childbirth. She didn't dwell too long on the bad, but instead changed clothes and rushed outside to tell her husband the fantastic news!
Maisy took home more than just souvenirs and memories from their Twikki Island vacation. The day after returning home, Maisy found out she was carrying a child! She knew Simon would be ecstatic to hear the news. Maisy was nervous and excited.
It wasn't possible for Simon to be any more excited. As soon as he saw his wife running down the front steps he noticed a bump where her flat stomach had once been. Joy filled his entire body as he smiled and rushed to hug her! She didn't even have to tell him she was going to have his baby. His hand went like a magnet to her stomach; he talked to his unborn child and let the baby know how much it was already loved and wanted.
Simon had to work very early in the mornings until the early afternoon. During this time Maisy was left in the house by herself. She found ways to occupy her time during maternity leave. Mainly she studied the needed skills for her career.
She soon had enough skills earned, that she would probably not have to study for the next few promotions! Life on maternity leave was pretty dull for Maisy and she couldn't wait for her baby to arrive.
When she got bored of being stuck inside all day long, Maisy went outside to talk to her trees. Simon had gotten rid of her garden as a precaution. They definitely didn't want a repeat of Simon's incident! But Maisy still had her apple and lemon trees to give attention and love to. Soon they were thriving under her care.
But, money was needed and so Simon went to work cheerfully everyday knowing he would soon be home to his lovely wife and unborn baby. Simon was doing very well promotion wise. He loved the kids he worked with and enjoyed his job and soon was a Teacher's Assistant. The money was nice and the weekends off were great too.
Simon hated having to go to work while Maisy was on maternity leave. He wanted to be there to see all the kicks the baby made. He wanted to talk to his child night and day. He wanted to see how big her stomach was getting the minute it grew any bigger.
Maisy's stomach was soon as big as a watermelon! With the excitement and joy of carrying a baby also came swollen ankles, an aching back and dreaded stretch marks! Maisy hardly ever complained, but Simon was sure to show is wife
extra love and attention whenever he was home from work. He cooked for her each night so she wouldn't have to be on her feet and he listened to her talk about her day. After dinner he rubbed her back and told her how much he loved her. Maisy never felt anything but love from Simon, she was so happy they were bringing a baby into the world together.
“ Oh, how sweet!” Maisy exclaimed. The next morning while she was checking the mail, she found Simon had left a love note for her to read. The pain in her back, the swelling of her ankles and even the stretch marks seemed to go to the back of her mind as she read Simon's love poem. Maisy thought she had to have the best husband in the universe! Nobody could be sweeter.
While Maisy was outside talking to her apple tree, she felt the pains of labor hit. She grabbed her stomach in agony. It felt as if her abdomen was going to rip open any minute.
An aching back and swollen ankles was nothing compared to this pain! Maisy tried not to think of the horrible agony, but of her baby that was about to be born instead. It helped her get through the contractions and give birth to . . .
eyes, but neither with her alien skintone. She picked out the features in both Ellis and Emerson and decided who they looked like most – their father! They had her hair and eye color, but the facial features of Simon. Oh how excited he'll be to see he has TWO sons! Maisy thought as she carried her newborns inside.
TWINS! Maisy was a triplet herself, so having multiples of her own was very exciting and not all that unexpected. A huge smile seemed to be permanently stuck on her face as she looked from one of her sons to the other. Both with her brown hair and brown
It was obvious that the family was going to need a bigger house now. The one bedroom, one bathroom home simply wasn't big enough for the family of four. Simon held his son Ellis gently and cooed to him as he realized how much his oldest son looked like himself. Maisy swayed Emerson in her arms and smiled as she mentally pictured her life with a husband and two babies in a new home.
And excited he was! Simon returned home with a promotion and expected to greet his heavily pregnant wife with a kiss and a belly rub. When he saw her flat stomach had returned he ran into the kitchen to find two cribs holding babies.
The family bought a new two bedroom, one bathroom home with a small kitchen, large dining area and a large living room. Maisy was still shocked to have two sons to love. I've got to be the luckiest woman to ever live, she thought as
she played with her youngest son, Emerson. Having two happy and healthy babies was the best thing she could have ever asked for.
When the boys were born Simon decided to be the one to stay home and take care of them. He took as many days personal leave as he could from work. It was difficult at first taking care of his twins. Being a first time father Simon would have liked to have
had some practice with babies prior to their birth. But he did as well as he could with Ellis and Emerson. Though there were times Simon mistook his son's hungry cries and “I need a diaper change” cry.
As if things were not hectic enough in the Clark home, Simon decided the family was in desperate need of a puppy! Jessie was adopted into the family the day of the twin's birthday. Simon thought it would be a neat present for his two babies. They would enjoy playing with their new puppy as toddlers and Simon couldn't wait to show Jessie to them.
For the first few hours Jessie spent a lot of time getting used to her new surroundings. After that she didn't seem to interested in much. She loved her food bowl though! She was always eating. At least she'll grow into a strong and
healthy dog. She might even be able to keep up with Ellis and Emerson once they turn into toddlers!
getting into anything they could get their little hands on! Maisy held Ellis in front of his cake and helped him blow out the candles while Simon held Emerson to watch the glow from the candles on his cake. At the same, time the parents threw their children into the air where they were surrounded by confetti and came down as adorable toddlers.
The babies' birthday came quicker than their parents had wished. They were no longer going to be tiny little things that sat in their bed and cooed to themselves all day. Now there were going to be a handful! They'd be soon walking and talking and
Both twins aged better than anyone could have hoped for. They both look exactly like their father. Especially Emerson, in the green shirt. He's a miniature version of his father! They are handsome little boys and very similar in personality as well.
Ellis, in the blue, has a personality of: And Emerson, in the green, has:
Jessie, the new family puppy, was causing a little trouble in the home. She wasn't destructive to any of the furniture, she never was hostile to the twins, but she just couldn't grasp the concept of using the bathroom outside! Sometimes it seemed to Simon as if he had triplets instead of twins. At least his sons and the puppy were going through potty training all at the same time. That way Simon could get them potty trained all at once.
So having all that said, Maisy and Simon sometimes only had time to let the toddlers out of their cribs and hand them a bottle before rushing off to do some other task. This meant the boys had to entertain themselves. Ellis usually made sure Jessie was getting enough attention. Whenever he saw her, he crawled over to snuggle up close with her whether she wanted to or not!
Ellis enjoys spending time cuddling with Jessie. His parents have to juggle work, cleaning, taking care of their babies and trying to find time for sleeping and eating in between all of that! Life was getting to be a lot to juggle at once.
It wasn't long before Maisy was pregnant again. Both she and Simon were a little scared of what this pregnancy might bring. They were already so loaded down with work and the twins that they barely had time to sleep! Nevertheless, they were excited to be bringing a new baby into the family. This time though they were hoping for just one nooboo.
Each day things around the house seemed to get a little dirtier, the parents seemed to get a little less sleep than the day before and the twins seemed to grow just a tad more restless. Life was getting to be stressful for an expecting Maisy and also for
Simon who tried to support his wife in this difficult time although he too was starting to feel the effects of being a young, working parent.
No matter how crazy things got with the house or the couple's moods, they always had time for their kids. They always made sure Ellis and Emerson's basic needs were being met. They might not be talking and walking like other
toddlers their age were doing, but they were well fed, clean and getting plenty of sleep each night. Which was something their parent's couldn't say for themselves at the end of the day. But at least the toddlers were well taken care of!
With a baby growing in Maisy's belly it was getting harder to get up and take care of her boys with only a few short hours of sleep. But she knew she had to do it! She and Simon usually used the “divide and conquer” method when it came to feeding, potty training and bathing the boys. It worked well! One parent would take Ellis, and the other Emerson. This way neither of the twins were neglected.
Nanny Kendal took good care of Ellis and Emerson while the couple slept. She continued to watch the twins while Maisy and Simon ate, bathed and generally took care of themselves for a change. It was a nice break for the parents and the twins got some extra attention too.
But alas, there is only so much two people can handle. After a while the stressfulness of caring for twins was too overwhelming. Simon called a nanny to watch the boys for a day while he and Maisy caught up on some very much needed sleep!
The twins soon learned that mommy and daddy had to take care of their own needs sometimes too. During the times that their parents were not avaliable Emerson entertained himself in the nursery with the toybox. There were all sorts of goodies
to play with in there! And of course Ellis ventured off to find Jessie and cuddle up with her.
Poor Jessie! She's also feeling the effects of Maisy and Simon's stress. The more the parents had to do, the less time they had to spend with the family pup. Ellis wasn't always around to share love with Jessie and often she went unnoticed by the family. She was in need of a good belly rub.
Maisy went into labor for the second time when she was home alone cooking breakfast for herself. Just like the first time she'd gone into labor, the pain was almost unbearable, but she didn't have her husband there to support her. She could only thing of the joy that this new child would bring when the pain was all over.
And boy did she get a surprise! Not twins, not triplets but QUADS were born into the Clark family! Maisy couldn't believe in just a few short minutes she'd given birth to four babies and become a mother of six children!
Three girls and one boy were born. This meant the boy to girl ratio was now even in the house, if you didn't count Jessie.
Oldest to youngest is baby girl Adelle with brown hair, baby boy Milo with his grandma Vivian's blonde hair, baby girl Penny with brown hair and baby girl Rowena with her father's red* hair. *I'm glad there are different hair colors this generation and not just the dominant black and brown.
This room once held a dining table with four chairs and more toys that belonged to Ellis and Emerson. Now it is the new bedroom for the quads. It is a fairly large room and barely holds all the cribs and a changing table needed for the new babies.
Finally, things were starting to look up! Maisy and Simon missed the twins growing into toddlers; they were sleeping away comfortable in their bed. But this meant the twins would become a little more independent and less reliant on their
parents. As children they would be able to use the bathroom alone, get a snack from the fridge and put themselves to bed. In return, this would allow their parents more time to sleep, eat and bathe themselves. Things were getting a little better in the Clark home.
Ellis, in the red, and Emerson, in the blue, aged into cute children. They're honestly the cutest set of twins I've ever had in my game. Their bedroom was promptly turned into a race car themed room suited for young boys!
Things are about to get a lot more hectic in the Clark family home with the arrival of the quads! So this is where I'll end the chapter; thanks so much for reading. Look back next time to see how everyone grows up. See you then :)
