  • 2. Age RequirementsStudents of the program must meet the followingrequirements to be able to participate in the program: Preschool: 3.5 - 5 years old* Must be potty trained. Level I: 6 - 8 years old Level II: 9 - 11 years old
  • 3. RegistrationThe program is free. However, there will be a $25 feeper family for materials.In order to confirm your child’s registration in EscuelaPioneros de la Paz, parents are required to complete aregistration package. You can download these formsahead of time from our website
  • 4. Dates & Times FIRST SEMESTER October 1st - December 10th 2011 Every Saturday 10:00 am - 12:30 pmPunctuality and regular attendance are crucial to theprogram’s success.
  • 5. AttendanceEscuela Pioneros de la Paz has developed a detailedlesson plan for the entire term and drop-ins will not beallowed.All students must be formally registered for theprogram and attend every Saturday.
  • 6. ParentsGeorge Syme Community School has several Saturdaymorning classes going on simultaneously, and for thesafety of all the students, parents are asked not toremain in the hallways.
  • 7. RecessWeather permitting, children will be going outside foran outdoor recess. Please ensure that your child isdressed appropriately for outdoor play.VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:We are looking for volunteers to supervise the recessesfrom 11:00 to 11:45. If you know you will beavailable to do this, or if you can contribute in theclassroom, please contact us via email

SnackPlease provide your child with a nutritious snack everySaturday.PLEASE NOTE:Foods that contain any form of peanuts, or nuts of anykind (almonds, cashews, etc.) are not permitted in theschool. We take this very seriously as this can be a lifethreatening situation with some of our students.
  • 9. VolunteersVolunteers of the school will wear a badge identifyingthemselves as volunteers. These are the only adultsallowed to remain in the school during school hours.If you are interested in becoming a volunteer pleasecontact us via email at

CommitmentWe expect students of Escuela Pioneros de la Paz toattend every Saturday from 10:00 am sharp and bepicked up by their parents/guardians at 12:30 pm.The day’s activities follow a theme, introduced at thebeginning of each class. Often they work in groups.Please ensure that your child arrives on time so he orshe can participate and share the full benefit of thisprogram.

If, for any reason, your child will not be present on anygiven Saturday, we ask that you please let us know viaemail at your child is absent for more than 2 classes withoutletting us know, we reserve the right to drop yourchild’s name from the register and open the spot to astudent on the waiting list.
