Note to self: Design Thinking, Visual Thinking...add Normative Thinking. So if normative is adding judgment, now we're bordering on Economic Thinking http://twurl.nl/ngut6w

Now we're breaking out into some jazz, aka. Chuck Mangione, Kenny G, and John Tesh.

Hallelujah! Someone who knows how to talk Wurman. You're speakin' to my roots. [soul music plays softly in the background]

This is me questioning my own 'beliefs'. Interactions -- in the social model if the greatest percentage of participants are 'lurkers' -- does the 'lurker' see each time they collect a brand 'impression' as an 'interaction'? Isn't that just a 'receipt'?

Bristle when 'engaging' is used. Fine, if I'm being entertained, but not so fine if I need help because I was just in a car accident. It's not scenario-agnostic enough.

Mr. Pine and I disagree on semantics. I don't think that he has enough of a marketing background (or data background) to understand the fine subtleties between an 'event' and a 'transaction' (although in data terms a transaction IS an event -- but that's not the point here). He misses the subtleties between creating an experience and 'having' one. [And, he hates when I call him Mr. Pine -- but he was published when print was still the primary communication medium. :) ]

Suddenly even the term 'touchpoint' is too obviously business-biased.

Dunno. How much might you change based on Doc Searls VRM manifesto? http://twurl.nl/f5gvq1 Gives me more food for thought and reframes my perspective.
