it would be good if you could include the average salary of HR jobs too.

@guest81796f, @guestf346fa9 - Thank you for your suggestions. We’ll keep this in mind when we do this survey next time.

I feel that instead of keeping the tab on salary range we should have done the number represenation based on quartile or decile segregation.... that would help us in knowing our exact posistion in the salray strata... For incidence: We can have the average salary for the top and bottom decile while mentioning the overall median and average salary for classification under the no.of years as experience category.

None the less it is a laudable effort.

Maybe you would like to dig a little deeper....
Finance salaries would be swayed by higher salaries in Investment Banking etc, and not necessarily in retail finance and retail banking.
Can you make that distinction and then present findings

it would be nice if you can include the list of Colleges also

@guestd16671 - We didn’t get this data from the institutes. We collected salary data from 3800 MBA graduates directly.

@guest6986bc - We’ll try to cover those bands next time.

is this based on placement figures given out by institutes themselves? B-schools (including the IIMs) are known for fudging and distorting placement figures to paint a rosy picture.. a better way to conduct such a survey would be to approach graduating students themselves rather than B-schools
