  1. 1. Mark scheme – Data Pres. <ul><li>Level 1 (1-2 marks) The candidate uses a limited range of basic techniques , some of which are ICT based. Simple ideas expressed. </li></ul><ul><li>Level 2 (3-4 marks) The candidate uses accurately a range of techniques (ICT based), to present and develop the info. Ideas expressed with considerable accuracy. </li></ul><ul><li>Level 3 (5-6 marks) Uses a range of more complex methods (ICT) and they are appropriate to their investigation . Ideas expressed clear and precise. </li></ul>

  4. 4. Basic = bar graphs and donut (pie) But, still need to be accurate with titles, axis labelled and appropriate.
  5. 7. Photos have titles, are annotated and are relevant
  6. 8. Photos are clearly linked to specific areas on map = accurate and shows good understanding of settlement topic.
  7. 12. Pictograph – excellent way to show visually differences in types of housing – could be used for type of housing in each area....
  8. 13. More complex as student looks for the mean and compares with other areas....
  9. 15. More complex as proportional circles show totals
  10. 16. Complex method which only uses 3 areas so not great but could be used to show differences between CBD, Inner city and RUF?? Triangular graph
  11. 17. Spearman's rank correlation coefficient which is complex and follows on from a scatter graph
