INTRODUCTION
ENCOMPASS: A NEW VISUAL IDENTITY SYSTEM
Encompass Community Services was established in 1985.
Our organisation offers a range of programs
and services for people with disability.
To harness its support for people with disability,
Encompass must present itself as a unfied cause
with shared values and common voice.
THIS IS A RULE BOOK TO GUIDE YOU, NOT LIMIT YOU
This document is intended as a guide,
however not all circumstances can be considered,
so as a result, common sense is required
and should be used where appropriate.
If it feels right for Encompass, it most likely is!

TYPOGRAPHY
THE PRIMARY TYPEFACE OF THE
ENCOMPASS - is DIN Pro. DIN Pro is clear,
clean, and an extremely legible font. It gives
weight to messaging and in context of the entire identity system, it offsets the playfulness
of the other visual elements. Its construction
flows seamlessly with the identity system.
With its semi- condensed proportions, it’s a
flexible font when it comes to flowing text into
layouts. Primarily, DIN Pro Bold and Regular
weights should be used most commonly. DIN
Pro Black, Medium and Light can be used
secondarily, as needed.
THE SECONDARY AND WEB TYPEFACE OF
THE ENCOMPASS - is Helvetica Neue. Helvetica Neue is to be used sparingly - only in
the exceptional circumstance where din pro is
not available and expensive (print).

MORE ALIKE THAN DIFFERENT
We want to potray people with disability can do
anything like normal people in common.
KEEP IT REAL
We want to form a relatable bond with the rest
of the world. To do this, we need to ensure that
the people and the scenes we feature feel real. If
the scene feels staged, or the expressions of the
people feels acted, it’s not right for Encompass.

SHARE RELEVANT STORIES
Every photo tells a story. Our main story is
‘people with disability can be anything they want’,
so we should be sure to show scenes where our
services are helping people with disability to be a
hero.
