Ghana Country Programme <ul><li>Thrust 3 </li></ul><ul><li>Northern Region Poverty Reduction Programme (NORPREP) </li></ul><ul><li>to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of poor rural communities through better social services & deepening and broadening rural development services and community and individual self-help capacity. </li></ul><ul><li>Total programme investment: USD 59.6 million </li></ul><ul><li>IFAD investment: USD 12.3 million </li></ul><ul><li>Cooperation with WB-financed Community-Based Rural Development Programme (total programme investment USD 73.96 million) </li></ul>

Ghana Country Programme <ul><li>Thrust 4 </li></ul><ul><li>Private and public partnership for grains and oilseed development </li></ul><ul><li>to help small farmers to grow their crops immediately to increase the production. </li></ul><ul><li>Promotion of pro-poor policies and advocacy to bring pro-poor interests up to the meso and macro level of policy. </li></ul><ul><li>Field Presence : Establishment of Country Office by end of 2009 </li></ul><ul><li>Direct Supervision : 4 programmes/projects will be under direct supervision by the end of 2009 </li></ul>
