    • Pakistan is the 6 th richest nation in terms of coal resources.
    • Pakistan has Coal reserves of about 185.5 billion tons which are estimated to be worth $17 trillion.
    • Even if half of the coal reserves are exploited properly, Pakistan would be able to generate 100,000MW of electricity for 30 years.
    • Of the 185.5 billion tons of coal reserves, 175.5 billion tons of coal deposits are located in the Tharparkar District of Sindh.

    • Electricity Generation at large scale and maybe at low cost

    • Generating Revenue for economic development and poverty elimination.
