BUS ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE ANNOUNCEMENT SYSTEM FOR METRO BUS STATIONSABSTRACTGenerally, journey in a bus is a safe and comfort factor. During the journey for longerdistances we should prefer to bus than any private vehicle. Whenever we are traveling forlonger distances we feel tired and asleep. When the bus reaches the station suddenly wewakes up then we can’t know where the bus is or the persons who are illiterate can’t knowwhere exactly the bus is currently. To overcome such kind of problems, this project is beingdesigned using RF technology.RF transmitters are electronic devices that create continuously varying electric current,encode sine waves, and broadcast radio waves. RF transmitters use oscillators to create sinewaves, the simplest and smoothest form of continuously varying waves, which containinformation such as audio and video. Modulators encode these sign waves and antennasbroadcast them as radio signals. There are several ways to encode or modulate thisinformation, including amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). Radiotechniques limit localized interference and noise.In bus we will be having RF TX and at the stop we will be having RF RX. So, we canidentify which bus is coming to the bus stop through the RF signals and will be displayed onthe LCD along with voice on the speaker. To identify weather the bus is coming to the stop orleaving from the stop we will be using another technology called IR.The concerned Bus names are also annunciated with the help of voice circuit which isinterfaced to the microcontroller.
