If you do not know who you are or what you want, maintaining healthy working relationships and setting goals for yourself at the workplace is difficult. When you don't know where you are headed, it is hard to set goals, get motivated and determine the best course of action. Before you can do any of these things, you must establish who you are. We tend to underestimate the importance of knowing ourselves. Many of us go through each day just getting by and reacting to events, rather than making conscious choices based on who we are and what we want. You will discover your strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes. You will have a clearer understanding of your own moods and reactions to your surroundings. You will also understand your own style of interacting with others, how you are affected by the work environment, and what you can do with this awareness. Knowing and understanding yourself better leads to better decision-making. It also enables you to set and achieve appropriate goals and live more productively.
