Grammatical Rules• When you talk about things happening now, you need the ‘help’ of am, is and are.• You also need to use the – ing form of the main verb.• The – ing form of the verb is called the Present participle form.• Used together with the Auxiliaries, am, is and are, the verb are in the Present Continuous Tense.

Rule 2• Sometimes you have to make changes to spelling when you add –ing to the main verbs.• e.g. split become splitting• e.g. practice become practicing
