If the type isnot in the list, click More.2Type a name for the artifact. Select theartifact type and format.Indicate which folder to put the newartifact in. Apply tags to the artifact . 34Select this check boxto start working withthe artifact after it iscreated .This listrepresentsartifact typesavailable forthe project. You can also start the dialog by selecting aproject folder, clicking the Edit menu, andclicking Create. When you create an artifact by clicking themenu arrow on the Create Artifact button, you can see the full list of available artifacttypes by clicking More.Artifact types have defined sets of attributes. When you select an artifact type, thoseattributes are associated with the type. You can select a format for the artifactcontent. In general, artifact types can bebased on these formats:• Text• Collection• User interface sketch• Storyboard• User interface part• Use-case diagram• Business process diagram• Simple flow diagramFor rich-text requirement content thatcontains text, images, and embeddedartifacts, use text format . This format is usedfor specific artifacts types, including actors,use-case specifications, user stories, features, business goals, and glossary terms. Use thepart format to define aspects of the userinterface. However, you can select the format for yourartifact. For example, if you want to express afeature as a storyboard rather than as a rich-text artifact, select Storyboard for theartifact format. No matter which format youuse, the artifact is assigned the attributes thatare associated with the artifact type. The example on the slide does not use anartifact template. Artifact templates areuseful for creating artifacts with pre-populated content and attributes. To create anartifact by using an artifact template, selectthe artifact template from the Template list.
