For example, at theproject level, you can get informationabout recently modified artifacts,reviews, and comments. At theartifact level, you can get informationabout the artifact’s attributes, links,tags, and comments.(3) The content pane contains thecore description of the artifact. At theproject level, all of the artifacts arelisted on the content pane . For a use-case artifact, this area contains theuse-case. For a module, this areadisplays hierarchically and logicallyorganized artifacts.(4) Not all artifacts have a navigationpane. For example, an artifact of thetext type does not have a navigationpane. You can use the navigationpane to filter ,add, or remove content.

You can find artifacts across projects in therepository.Use quick search to find artifacts in oneproject or across all of the projects in thesame repository in the RM application . For example: Coverage analysis Impact analysis Progress analysisClick a link to navigate tothe linked artifact.Sidebar of artifact 122.The artifact is openAfter the artifact is open, you can use theLinks section in the sidebar to manage linksand navigate to linked artifacts. You can edit,remove, filter, and sort the links in thatsection.Remember that an artifact can be openedfrom the project level. When you open anartifact at the project level, you open the baseartifact.An artifact can be part of a module. Inside amodule, an artifact might have links,comments, and tags that are module specific.The links that you see might vary based onwhere you opened the artifact.

Comments are an effective way forteam members to communicate and providefeedback during artifact development.Comments are displayed in these areas:•In an open artifact, in the Comments sectionof the sidebar•On the Artifacts page at the project level, inthe Recent Comments section of the sidebar•On your personal dashboard, in the RecentComments for Me sectionYou can comment on an artifact as a wholeand on specific elements in an artifact. Inrich-text artifacts, you can comment on thewhole document, a paragraph, or an item in alist. Comments are available to all teammembers who have access to the artifact.Comments are threaded, can have priority,and can be directed to one or more people.You can filter the comments pane in thesidebar. For example, you can show only thecomments that are not resolved.If the comments are about artifacts inembedded in a text artifact, you can highlightall the embedded artifact that havecomments.

In the sidebar, find thecomments section.You can create a comment for an artifactorreply to comments.As mentioned previously, you can commenton an artifact as a whole and on specificelements in an artifact.When you create a comment, you can directit to one or more users, in which case thecomment is displayed in each user’sdashboard. If your server has e-mailnotifications set up, you receive an e-mailwhen comments are directed to you.When comments are directed to a person, theperson receives an email with the commentand a link. When the recipient clicks the link,a browser opens the related artifact andshows that comment.You can also set priority for a comment.When the issue that is raised in the commentis addressed, you can resolve the comment.

Youcan add and remove widgets, or drag them toanother location on the dashboard. Mostwidgets show the results for all projects thatyou are a member of, but you can restrict thescope to one project.Your initial personal dashboard is createdautomatically; however, you can also createmore personal dashboards.

Youcan add, modify, or remove widgets from thisdashboard .In addition to personal dashboards, you canaccess and customize a small dashboardcalled the mini dashboard. You can open themini dashboard from any page in the webclient.To open the mini dashboard, open the webclient and click the vertical bar in the far left .To minimize the mini dashboard, clickanywhere outside of the dashboard.When the mini dashboard is open, you canadd, modify, and remove widgets. Thesewidgets are the same widgets that you canadd to a project or personal dashboard.To add widgets, click the Add Widget iconin the mini dashboard. In the Add Widgetswindow, select a widget. You can also addwidgets by dragging them from a personaldashboard to the mini dashboard. While youare dragging the widget, guide lines indicatewhere the widget will be placed.You can add an unlimited number of widgetsto the mini dashboard. However, a bestpractice is to place higher-priority widgets orfrequently used widgets at the top. Tomaximize the limited space in the minidashboard , you can collapse widgets andlimit the number of items that are included inlists, such as query results and news feeds.
