Ceiling:
Remove or cover fixtures
Paint area covered by fixture
Walls:
Remove curtains
Remove pictures and decorations from walls
Remove all hardware from room
Furniture
Move furniture
Protect furniture
Repairing walls
Clean and dry walls
Ensure no loose or flaking paint
Repair holes
Let dry overnight
Clean and tape walls
Wash, rinse, dry
Use tape to protect trim, cabinets
New and repaired walls
Seals surface
Prime if using deep color on walls
