One of the three Ilabs from IBBT with a focus on: • Setting up a large scale trial outside a lab environment • Giving representative users the oppurtunity to test ICT  innovation in their d l environment h daily • Using the correct methodology for the most reliable results res lts • Managing & coördinating Living Lab‐projects

  • 5. What? • A half yearly survey: wave 1 contains 1260  p p people • Asks which mediatechnologies you possess,  and how and how you use them • Mediatechnologies? – TV, Telephone, Computer, Internet, Gaming,  Others

Why? 1) Building up a panel database to create a  p permanent panel, which can be mobilized p into new media & ICT living labs 2) Obtaining 2) Obtaining essential sources of information for of information IBBT & his partners as  ‐ a guide for future media research  ‐ starting point for new projects point for

Results • Did you know that? – 1 in 4 sends more than 20 SMS each day y – 63% is a member of at least 1 SNS – Hotmail leads Gmail 65% to 51 8% Hotmail leads 65% to 51,8% – 12,7% dowloads illegaly (liars…) – 1 in 4 watches the news daily on the regional channel – 23% doesn’t have a clue how much they are  p y g paying for the internet
