    • Countries may require travellers to have particular documentation to enter the country
      • Passport – required for travel outwith the UK
      • E111 Form/EHIC card – required to get reduced cost medical treatment
      • Visa – permission to enter the country
      • Immunisation Form – gives details of immunisation jags, may be needed to enter African countries
    • Other items may be required
      • Driving licence
      • Car hire information
      • Credit/Debit cards
      • Travel, health insurance
      • Maps
  • 9. What Travel Documents Should be Completed
    • Travel/Accommodation Request Form – this is completed by the employee requesting permission to go on the trip
    • Needed to stop people just going on trip without telling colleagues
    • Travel Booking Form
      • When you have been given permission and the method of travel have been selected this form will be completed and sent to the travel agent
    • Accommodation Order Form
      • The travel agent may then ask the company to complete an Accommodation Order Form
    • Itinerary
      • This document provides key information on date, venues, meetings
      • Completed before you go on a trip
  • 10. Paying for Travel
    • Methods of payment
      • Cash – local currency obtained from the travel agent, you must keep receipts if paying by cash!!!
      • Traveller Cheque – you pay for these in advance of the trip and get reimbursed if you don’t use them all
      • Debit Card (Switch) – when your card is swiped the money is taken directly from your bank account to the companies
      • Credit Card (Master card) – this card allows you to buy goods and pay for them at a later date. You have to pay the interest on credit card balances
  • 11. How do Organisations Check Expenditure??
    • In some companies employees pay for goods and get reimbursed at a later date.
    • They complete an Expense claim form
    • Expense Claim Form
