3. 2 Cups of Glutinous Rice Flour
1 Cup of Water
½ Cup of Granulated White Sugar
1 Cup of Yema (Prepared Seaparately or Can be bought)
1 Cup of Desiccated Coconut
½ Cup of Sesame Seeds
4. In order to make our special flat rice cake, we
have to mix the flour with water.
You can form small balls of dough and then flat
ten it by pressing.
To add our twist, we just have to put small amo
unt of yema inside our small doughs before pre
ssing them a bit.
5. The term “palitaw” means “to float”, and that’s
what we will do with our dough. We have to
put them in a pan or bowl with boiling water.
Wait until the dough float. That means the
palitaw is cooked and we have to drain them.
6. After draining, we have to roll them in
a plate with desiccated coconut and
sugar. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
afterwards to add extra flavor.
