Perspectives<br />Brewing with unmalted barley and Novozymes’ Ondea® Pro can save around 8 g CO2 per 33 cl beer and improve land utilization by 7%.<br />Global annual production of malt is roughly 20 million tons (Euromalt 2009). Replacing 10% of global malt production saves annually: <br /><ul><li> 350,000 t CO2 corresponding to the annual emissions from 100,000 cars
