Suggestions Google, Yahoo, etc have a different mission to HEIs and different priorities Separate functionality and figure out what your core library systems should handle and what other (web) services will handle better Don’t rely on YouTube or Flickr as your sole repository of information … but do experiment with their apis Accept that the web giants will do some things better Learn usability lessons from Web 2.0 sites Disseminate through Web 2.0 sites www.spokenword.ac.uk
