Control of Medium Voltage Networks:

The need to improve the quality of service of the electricity distribution companies has led to extend the control of their distribution network to the secondary grid or Medium Voltage (MV) network.

The deployment of control plans for the Medium Voltage grid has turned out to be an important challenge for any electricity company due to the quantity and diversity of installations and communication media.

Control architectures based on iRTU telecontrol units will allow an optimal automation of the Medium Voltage network, at a competitive price.

The iRTU family is the ideal solution for telecontrol of MV transformation centers. These units can collect data from transformation centers either via direct acquisition (through their digital and analog inputs), or through communication with the bay bus via serial channels (RS422/RS485) using communication protocols such as IEC60870-5-102, Procome, Modbus RTU, DNP3.0, etc.
