    • So much more than adebating tournamentin July in Mexico.The British Parliamentary Track has been part of the Youth Forum since Leon2008. The goal of the track is to introduce and equip students to theworld of international university debate, which is predominantly done July 2-15in the British Parliamentary format. 2012The track will develop your impromptu speaking skills, BP techniques andstrategies, introduce you to judging in BP, orientate you to rapid argumentdevelopment, help diversity your style and provide you with many other skillsand all the information you need to launch your university debate career.The track has always been taught by experienced BP trainers - which thisyear includes the Chief Adjudicator of the World Universities DebatingChampionships in 2013.Students from universities in Latin America can participate inthis track, attending our training program and the BritishParliamentary Tournament at the end of the IDEA Youth Forumand also gain judging experience at the Karl Popper DebateChampionship, an international schools competition.Our Youth Forum alumni have reached the break rounds of both EUDC andWUDC. Some of them include Steven Rajavinothan (EUDC Quarterfinalist2010), Radu Cotarcea and Bianca Dragomir (EUDC ESL finalists 2010) &Marko Cirovic and Crt Podlogar (WUDC ESL semifinalists 2012).The Other TracksThe Karl Popper Debate Championship (KPDC) is a competitivedebate tournament in the Karl Popper Debate Format (3 debaters per Register now!team) for secondary school students. Deadline: May 1, 2012The Mixed Team Track (MTT) is a unique international debating ex- Registration fee: $950 (Includes all accommodation, food,perience that creates a peer-to-peer learning environment after the training and social events)KPDC with the support of IDEA’s expert trainers. Registration and travel subsidiesThe Coaches and Judges Track (CJT) brings trainers in touch with are available.IDEA’s expert training pool, helping to spread debate skills globally.
