Udall Tornado The Udall Tornado was the most destructive tornado in Kansas. It destroyed most of the town and killed about 50 people in 1955!
The Bleeding State Kansas was called ‘’The bleeding state’’ because it became a state during the Civil war. Since it was right in middle of the United States and no one knew which side Kansas would fight for.
Kansas (Band) Kansas is a rock’ n ‘ roll band from Topeka. Their 2 hit singles are ‘’Carry On Wayward Son’’ and ‘’Dust in the Wind’’. The original members are Dave Hope, Phil Ehart, Kerry Livgren, Lynn Meredith, Dan Wright, Larry Baker, and Don Montre.
Barry Sanders Barry Sanders was born in Wichita, Kansas and played for the Detroit Lions. He might’ve been the greatest running back in the history of the NFL beside Walter Payton. Barry can run the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds, and he was only 5 ft. 8 in. tall. He is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
