  3. 3. What was the Flu Pandemic and its origins <ul><li>The 1918 flu pandemic, also called the Spanish Flu, was a severe and deadly influenza pandemic that spread across the world. (Wikipedia) </li></ul><ul><li>A large factor in the worldwide occurrence of this flu was increased travel. Modern transportation systems made it easier for soldiers, sailors, and civilian travelers to spread the disease. </li></ul><ul><li>(Wikipedia) </li></ul>

Within months, it had killed more people than any other illness in recorded history.
