Gamification is the use of game elements and game design techniques
(mechanics) to enhance non-games.
Typically gamification applies to non-game applications and processes, in order to
encourage people to adopt them, or to influence how they are used.
It’s about meaning, not flair
to pursue purpose, not leaderboard points
Gamification won't solve your business problem
it only solves your (short-term) engagement problem

Wat is Kudos Badges?
Kudos Badges is een flexibele tooling voor IBM Connections waarmee
performance management technieken als spelelementen in uw
onderneming geïntroduceerd worden.
• Kudos Badges wijst medewerkers geleidelijk de weg
• Kudos Badges maakt medewerkers meer betrokken
geen spelletje
het doel is niet leaderboard-punten na te streven, maar om de
bedrijfsdoelstellingen te realiseren

Kudos Points
Kudos Points worden toegekend voor het voltooien van acties.
- 1 Kudos Point voor het posten van een statusupdate of voor het geven van
een reactie;
- 5 Kudos Points voor het aanmaken van een blog;
- 3 Kudos Points wanneer iemand anders een van je bestanden aanbeveelt.
• ….voor het voltooien van een bepaalde badge/categorie van badges.
• de waarde van een actie kan geheel naar uw wensen geconfigureerd
worden.
• Kudos Points kunnen zelfs worden toegekend voor voltooide acties in
systemen buiten IBM Connections

Metrics zijn het hart van Kudos Badges.
• Metrics zijn een manier van belonen en meten om te bepalen wanneer
een bepaalde badge of prestatie toegekend kan worden.
• Metrics bepalen de Kudos Rank van een persoon en hun positie op het
Kudos Leaderboard.
• Metrics zijn SQL statements die informatie in uw database analyseren:
– ….veel standaard meegeleverde metrics, aan te passen naar wens
– ….eigen metrics toe te voegen die acties en gebruik meten
(zelfs uit externe applicaties)
