  • The most common question I hear about WordPress.com, vs .org, is about revenue. Quickly explain the four basic ways we make money: Ads, Upgrades, VIP, others (Polldaddy, Akismet, VaultPress, etc.)\n

  • Around 20Million of these are hosted on WP.com\n

  • We want to allow people to publish their ideas, no matter what! – also refer to the about page on wordpress.com for more speaking points (next slide)\n

  • Explain our start-up job titles, and how we’re encouraged to define many things for ourselves.\n

  • Community/Hospitality: Since we’re derived from an open source culture, many of our choices are influenced by the open source attitude of being helpful, communication, and a shared sense of taking care of broken windows and little things.\n
