3D Analyst - Watershed Lorelindu

  1. 1. WATERSHED AREA IN LORE LINDU NATIONAL PARK ADVANCED GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (ITM 524) BROTO RAHARJO G051054021
  2. 2. 1. CREATE DEM FROM SRTM S02E119 – S02E120 Global Mapper 7.04 3DEM (Opensource, downloaded from www.terrainmap.com)
  3. 3. Select smaller area and project to UTM coordinate Save as GeoTiff ( lorelindu.tif ) Open lorelindu.tif in ArcGIS
  4. 4. Create integer value from floating value Lorelindu_int.tif
  5. 5. 2. REMOVE ERROR SINK Lorelindu_fil.tif
  6. 6. 3. CREATE FLOW DIRECTION Lorelindu_flo.tif
  7. 7. 4. CREATE FLOW ACCUMULATION Lorelindu_fla.tif
  8. 8. 5. GENERATING STREAM CHANNEL Based on our flow accumulation, we can map stream channels where the water flows. This channel is based on the number of cells which flow into a specific cell. If we want large channels we use a larger number. For this project we will map all cells that has at least 500 cells that flow into it. Because the cell size is 90 m, these means we are mapping all cells that have a drainage area of at least 90 x 90 x 500 = 4.05 km2. Lrlindu_fla5.tif
  9. 9. 6. GENERATING STREAM LINK Lrlindu_strm.tif Stream channel 500 Flow direction
  10. 10. 7. GENERATING WATERSHED Lrlindu_wshd.tif Flow direction Stream link
  11. 11. 8. 3D VISUALIZATION IN ARCSCENE
  12. 12. 9. COMPARISON BETWEEN GENERATED STREAM CHANNEL AND TOPOGRAPHIC ____ Generated stream channel ____ Topographic
  13. 14. THANK YOU
