3D Analyst - Lake, Jatiluhur - Presentation Transcript

    1. ERWIN HERMAWAN G051060011 ITM-524 ADVANCED GIS 3D ANALYST APPLICATION “ FIND THE VOLUME OF WATER IN JATILUHUR RESERVOIR” Graduate Program Master of science in information technology For natural resource management SEAMEO BIOTROP Bogor Agricultural University 2007
    2. WHY USING 3D ANALYST
      • Makes spatial data look like the world it represent. Seeing the spatial data in three dimensional perspective makes it easy to grasp relationship that remain abstract in two dimensions.
      • The 3D Analyst enables to perform a wide range of activities :
      • Create realistic surface models from multiple input sources.
      • Determine height at any location on a surface.
      • Find what is visible from an observation point.
      • Calculate the volumetrik diffrence beetwen two surface.
      • Work with 3D vector features to make realistic models of the 3D world.
      • Visualize the spatial data in 3D.
      • OBJECTIVE
      • Find The Volume Of Water In Jatiluhur Reservoir using Arc View 3D Analyst application.
      • DATA
      • SRTM Data
      • Jatiluhur Reservoir Coverage in *.shp format.
    3. 1. Import data to grid format
    4. 2. Result of data import
    5. 3. Create Area of interest (AOI)
    6. 4. Cropping the grid data using map calculator function.
    7. 5. Result of cropping data using Area Of Interest in Grid format.
    8. 6. Result of cropping data using Area Of Interest in TIN format.
    9. 7. Cropping TIN data by vector (shp) format data.
    10. 8. Result of cropping TIN data using Jatiluhur reservoir. How much water’s is holding by calculating volume Below the water surface ?
    11. 9. Calculation of Area and volume statistics
    12. 10.
    13. 11. Result of calculating area and volume statistics.
    14. 12. Layout.
    15. That's all Thank's for your attention
      • When compared to planimetric area, surface area gives an idea about surface roughness. The larger the difference beetwen two values, the rougher the surface.
