The world of telecommunications and the world of IT are being pushed together. This often creates a convergence battleground between the two worlds, pitting technologies, organizations, and approaches against each other. But this need not be so. By bringing together the best of OSS with the best of IT management, it is possible to create a new next-generation OSS that truly addresses the needs of modern communication and media services: cloud computing, for instance. This presentation will discuss the HP approach to convergence and the solutions that address these rapidly-evolving services.
