  • System Administrator, is responsible for setting up and maintaining the UCMDB. This administrative role includes creating TQL’s/View’s, modeling, purging data, setting up reconciliation jobs & rules and creating system health reports.
  • Discovery Administrator, is responsible for identifying the level of information that is required for discovery, configuring the discovery probes accordingly, deploying them in the environment, and creating validation reports to ensure that the discovery patterns are purposeful based on the information that is required for its consumers.
  • Configuration Manager, is accountable for the day-to-day running of the configuration management process within the organization. The Configuration Manager ensures that the configuration environment adheres to the organizational standards and guidelines.
  • Configuration Contributor/Data Owner, is a role that applies to anyone who owns (i.e. is responsible for) supporting and maintaining one or more specific Configuration Items.  The configuration contributor is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the configuration item information.
