    A platypus is a mammal
    It has a grey tail from the beaver family
    The platypus has webbed feet which come from the otter family
    Their bill comes from the duck family and is gray
    The platypus weighs about 4 lbs and the female weighs about 2 lbs
  • 5. Appetite
    • The platypus eats insects in and out of the water
    • 6. The platypus can suck up bones
    • 7. They also eat frogs
    • 8. When a platypus eats it eats the insect by snatching it with its tongue
    • 9. Then it rolls the bug up in its tongue and swallows it
  • Habitat
    One area platypus live in is Eastern Australia.
    They are always near water.
    They live in the ground near river banks.
    Their area is filled with rocks, seaweed, twigs, and grass.

    The platypus has a stinger that poisons others.
    They have a tail that can feel electricity.
    The nose of the platypus is called the “bill”.
    They are grayish in color and I always thought they were an aqua (blue) color.
