Appearance<br />Coyotes family is from the wolf family<br />Coyotes have really sharp teeth <br /> Their nose is their food sense <br />Coyote cubs are like a puppy because they are puffy<br />Coyotes are gray and sometimes dark gray they have pointed ears and four legs ‘ two eyes and tail<br />Coyotes have a black nose<br />Coyotes can jump really high<br />

Appetite<br />Coyotes will eat all most anything<br />They hunt many animals including rabbits frogs fish and deer<br />They eat farm animals <br />They also happily dine on insects ,snakes, fruit, grass, and carrion (dead animals) <br />The coyotes favorites –rabbits voles , moles, grounds squirrels , chipmunks, and woodchucks<br />
  • 6. Habitat<br />Coyotes live in forest park lands.<br />They live in grassy meadows.<br />Coyotes adjust to living near people.<br />They learn to stay out of sight.<br />You may have coyotes living near you. <br />Coyotes live near the tundra regions.<br />

Interesting Facts<br />Farmers don’t like coyotes around because they eat their farm animals.<br />Coyotes can run up to 40 mph.<br />It is amazing how quickly a coyote can change direction running at full speed. <br />Coyotes are famous for their yelping howl. <br />They are singing to each other when they howl. <br />They are known to be sly. <br />
  • 8. About the Author<br />My name is Bailey Savercool. I am in Ms. Hose’s second grade classroom. The reason I picked to do my report on coyotes is because I wanted to learn more about them. I have a Pomeranian named Cody. <br />
