The proposal for a National Intelligence System (SNI) that affects the national security and defense of Dominican Republic has been conducted in this research work, compiled in four chapters, which are addressing issues like:
To establish the basics of intelligence, where intelligence aspects inherent in the cycle to be done so that information becomes a useful tool to prevent and make decisions to the competent authorities, as well, are conceptualized to establish its scope of the activities of intelligence and counter intelligence, among others.
Also, it has been addressed the legal framework within which agencies and State institutions that conduct security, national defense , intelligence and counterintelligence , such as the articles of the Constitution of the Dominican Republic , are based Law 1-12 National Development Strategy 2012-2030 , 873-78 Law , Organic Law of the Armed Forces , Law 857-78 establishing the National Bureau of Investigation , Decree 189-07 , which created the National Security Policy and Defense as well as regulations and existing democratic citizen security and Joint Doctrine Manual of the Dominican Armed Forces , besides the Bill for the Establishment of National Intelligence Dominican Republic deposited with the Chamber of Deputies by the legislature Pelegrín Castillo, on August 18, 2011 .
Finally, a brief history of the emergence of intelligence in this country is , the structures of the agencies and institutions working in this direction and a proposal for a National Intelligence System (SNI ) that affects the presents are described national security and defense of Dominican Republic to be studied , evaluated and discussed , with the firm intention that it be synergistically brings together the comprehensive development of the Dominican State .
