  • 2. PAMPLONA
    • Pamplona is the capital of Navarre, in the north of Spain.
    • It is a small and
    • ancient city.
    • His population is
    • around 200.000.
    • The city is famous worldwide for the San Fermin festival, from July 7 to 14, in wich the running of the bulls or encierro is one of the main attractions.
  • 3. EDUCATION IN PAMPLONA
    • The city is home to two universities:
    • University of Navarre which is ranked as the best private university in Spain.
    • Public University of Navarre established by the Government of Navarre in 1987.
    • There is also a local branch of the UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia).
    • Pamplona has more than 15 colleges.
  • 4. ECONOMY OF PAMPLONA Pamplona has changed in a few decades from a little administrative and rural town to a medium-size city of industry and services. In the industry the most important activity is related to automobile industry. Volkswagen manufactures Polo model in its factory of Landaben and there are many auxiliary industries that work for Volkswagen and other companies. Renewable energy technologies are also an increasing economic sector with the National Centre for Renewable Energies (CENER) and of Acciona .
  • 5. SPORTS C.A. OSASUNA Founded in 1920, it plays in the “Spanish first division”. MIGUEL INDURAIN First person who won 5 “Tours of France” in a row.
  • 6. COLLEGE: “ VIRGEN DEL CAMINO” I attend to “Virgen del Camino” college. It openned its doors for the first tiem 50 years ago. It is 15 minutes walking from the city center, and around 5 minutes by bus. It has two diferents buildings. It has about 800 students and more than 80 teachers.     • In the first year of our studies we study and do practice at the college, and in the second and last year we make them in a factory.
    • This year is the fifth aniversary of the college.
