  2. 2. War <ul><li>War is a behavior pattern of organized violent conflict, typified by extreme aggression, societal disruption, and high morality. This behavior pattern is found in many primate species, including humans. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Wars are as old as the development of the first civilizations. </li></ul><ul><li>Dating to as early as 12,000 years ago One half of the people found in a Nubian cemetery had died of Violence. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>The causes for war are endless but can be generalized into three categories. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Political </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Economical </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Religious </li></ul></ul><ul><li>As the World advances technologically, the Wars become more deadly with deadlier weapons. </li></ul><ul><li>Throughout History, every Nation’s goal has been to wield the strongest weapon to have power over other Nations. </li></ul>

The Aztecs <ul><li>The Aztec people were certain ethnic groups of central Mexico. </li></ul><ul><li>dominated large parts of Mesoamerica in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries </li></ul><ul><li>The Aztec armed forces were composed of mostly commoners with only basic military training. and a smaller number of professional warriors who belonged to nobility and organized into warrior societies with ranks according to their achievements. </li></ul>

The Aztecs <ul><li>The Aztec state was centered around political expansion. </li></ul><ul><li>Warfare was the basic dynamic force in Aztec politics. </li></ul><ul><li>Every Aztec male received basic military training from an early age and the only possibility of going higher in society was through military achievement.  </li></ul>
  8. 8. The Aztecs <ul><li>The sacrifice of war captives was an important part of many of the Aztec religious festivals. </li></ul><ul><li>Warfare was thus the main driving force of both the Aztec economy and religion. </li></ul>
