  3. 3. Wharram Percy In the 1940s, an aircraft flew over parts of Yorkshire and saw something amazing. The person taking the photographs saw something someone on the ground not – HISTORY!
  4. 4. Task (Time 5 mins) <ul><li>Why was the village only seen in the 1940s? </li></ul><ul><li>Think, why could someone on the ground not see the outline of the village? </li></ul>

  6. 6. The Manor Look at the photograph and the map, can you see the similarities? Why might we assume this is the Manor House?
  7. 7. The Mill Look at the image and the map, can you see the mill pond? What building is shown in the image? How do you know it?
