    • “ Going to Meet the Man” written in 1965
      • Jesse was the town sheriff of a small southern city. Late one night he wanted to have sex with his wife but couldn’t find the motivation to get himself into the “moment.” His mind then wonders to where he would enjoy having rough sexual intercourse with a black female. Jesse’s mind then wonders to a horrifying event that his parents allowed him to witness, the hanging/torturing of a black male. The townspeople cut off his genitals, and he was hung by his hands above his head where a fire was lit beneath him. Jesse’s thoughts then brought him back to the present where he found himself “horny” and “hard.” He then grabs his wife and tells her that he is going to have sex with her as if she were a black female which for him meant it was going to be rough.
