    • Using the inductive model to increase learner motivation
    • Inductive model can be an effective strategy for increasing learner motivation by:
      1- developing student interest.
      2- increasing self-efficacy.
    • The most consistently effective way of promoting interest is by increasing student involvement
    • Student involvement:
      Give students the chance to:
      Participate.
      Experience a sense of autonomy
      Control and Self-determination
    • Open-ended questions virtually ensure success, which increases students’ inclination to be involved.
Their ability to be successful leads to a second important factor in motivation self-efficacy.
    • Increasing Self-Efficacy
Expectancy-value theories of motivation suggest that learner are motivated to work on a task to extent that they:
Expect to succeed on the task.
      Value the task.
    • What is self-efficacy?
Learners’ beliefs about their capability of succeeding in specific activities.
Combining high expectation for success with emphasis on thinking and understanding can be very effective for increasing learner motivation.
    • Thank you
