  • 1. Bob FerrariHe have been fortunate to spend the last 15 years of hislife climbing in one of the most pristine climbing areas inthe Northeast, the Shawangunk mountain range. For thelast five years he have been working as a guide for oneof the most established guide services in the area, HighAngle Adventures which has been in business since1974.
  • 2. Sue Kligerman – LEAD GUIDESue Kligerman was in the military from 1983 through1987.She served in the Army, 101st Airborne, Air assault. Shewas a full-time Rock Climbing guide in the Gunks for manyyears.She spent her winters guiding in El Potrero Chico,Mexico. She is one of the few women AMGA certifiedLevel 1 Rock Instructors.

Bob HostetterHe started climbing in 1984 after enrolling in a Phys Edcourse at a local Community College,and was introducedto this unique mode of existence by Rosie Andrews andRich Goldstone, who were his guides that weekend. Soonthereafter he relocated to Gardiner, NY to continue hiseducation at the Shawangunk Hard Rock University.
  • 4. Peter GuyreHe started climbing in 1999 while he was studying inArgentina. He is an AMGA certified single pitch instructor,PCGI certified lead guide and have a rescue certificationfrom the PCGI. He continue to seek further certificationsand educational experiences relating to work, play, and lifein the mountains.
  • 5. Andrew ReedAndrew started climbing in the mid 1970s. He is AMGASPI certified and has extensive climbing experience inthe Shawangunks NY as well as many other locations inNorth America, Mexico, and Europe.
  • 6. Tom ChervenakHe is a licensed NYS climbing instructor who also holds aBachelor of Arts in Sociology, along with a NYS TeacherCertification. He has been a guide with HighXposure forthree years, and has been living and climbing in theShawangunk Ridge area since 2001. He has extensiveknowledge of countless area classics and hidden gems ofall styles and difficulty.
  • 7. Naomi WielgosShe has been climbing since 1994. She has climbedextensively in North America and Asia and has for the pastseveral years taken up ice climbing in the northeast with apassion. She currently holds a NYSDEC License to Guide,AMGA Certified Single Pitch Instructor, Wilderness FirstResponder/CPR, and NYS Registered Nurse.
  • 8. Dave LeahyHe lives in New Paltz, and has been climbing for 10 years.He is an N.Y.S. liscensed guide, and a volunteer on theHudson Valley Mountain Rescue team. He is Red cross FirstAid and C.P.R. certified, a formerly certified N.Y.S. E.M.T..He is also a former U.S. Army combat medic and rappelinginstructor, has 12+ years of extentsive martial arts training,is a martial arts instructor, and an AMGA Rock InstructorCourse Graduate.

Eric DeBerghHe is a New York native whose first introduction to rockclimbing was in the Gunks at the age of 12 with his father.His professional guiding career began in 2000, andincludes work experience in rock, alpine, and ice climbingterrain from Washington State to New Hampshire. Ericfacilitates our AMGA climbing instructor programs viaHigh Xposure’s partnership with his company, CertifiedClimbing Instructor.
