Promote events…and don’t hesitate to turn a week into a month!
Examine your space with a critical eye or ask someone to evaluate your space. Find as many ways as possible to make books easily accessible to students. Yes, we do judge books by their covers!
Book displays can be easy, effective, and cheap.
Promote events AND the “regular” stuff like books. This campaign (suggested by Mary Barbee) was a big success at CHHS!
Feeling Hungry? Stop by the media center to satisfy your sweet tooth. Check out a book and guess the number of gummy worms in the jar. The closest guess will receive the entire jar of gummy worms! Enter by Thursday Oct. 28 th Celebrate Teen Read Month during October and check out a book!
