Malaria
An epidemic caused by a parasite spread by mosquitoes
Malaria parasites multiply inside the body and effect the liver, kidney and nervous system
Symptoms: Chills Headache Sweats
Fatigue
Nausea
Vomiting

None of the commonly used drugs eliminate the Malaria parasite. It becomes dormant. Symptoms can recur years later, even causing death.
The parasites are now largely resistant to one of the two main anti-malarial drugs
