  • I have changed this page to specify the usage of funding in TLN for global basis only and no local funding support at all in this stage. Actually, there are not many costly global event and only web site and material for global TLN standardization leaflet…etc.

    3. 3. Vision/Mission of TOC Learning Network (TLN) <ul><li>Vision </li></ul><ul><li>To foster the TOC thinking process through all walks of life. </li></ul><ul><li>Mission </li></ul><ul><li>To promote and support the dissemination of TOC knowledge globally thru the local network </li></ul>

Purpose of TOC Learning Network <ul><li>The purpose of the TOC Learning Network is to centralize and promote the free exchange of information related to the use of TOC among the participants in the network.  It provides a forum in which the members may assist each other in furthering their knowledge about and advancing their abilities in the use of TOC. </li></ul>

Scope of our problem solving activity <ul><li>The TOC Learning Network will be a resource for sharing practical experiences, developing skills, and networking among participants who use or want to use TOC.  TOC Learning Network meetings are an opportunity to share and to learn. </li></ul><ul><li>All of these activities are carried out on a voluntary basis.  No guarantees are made. </li></ul>

Membership rule <ul><li>The TOC Learning Network is organized and operated completely through volunteering participants. </li></ul><ul><li>Local TOC affiliations which have been previously established will be adopted with the existing names. All new local TOC Learning Networks must have “TOC Learning Network” as the first part of their name. </li></ul><ul><li>There is no fee for membership.  Donations to the TOC Learning Network general funds are gladly accepted.  </li></ul>

Government by Board of Directors-P1 <ul><li>Each December , TOC Learning Network Global Core Group members will elect from volunteering participants to fill the following suggested positions of officers to serve on each local Board of Directors. </li></ul><ul><li>President .  Represents the group, and is responsible for making sure the organization runs productively.  Coordinates: Promotion activities, Board of Director meetings, and international user group meetings.  Is the alternate signator for TOC Learning Network banking activities.  Maintains TOC Learning Network relationship with the local TOC Learning Network chapter worldwide </li></ul><ul><li>Communications Director . Responsible for communication and promotion, coordinates planning for meeting agenda, keeps meeting minutes, and maintains the membership database and notification list. </li></ul>

Government by Board of Directors-P2 <ul><li>Treasurer .  Keeps the financial records, collects and disburses revenue, maintains the legal instruments required by the local authorities.  Assists the President in the general coordination and administration of TOC Learning Network .  Coordinates the procurement of promotional materials and hand outs. </li></ul><ul><li>Webmaster . Develops and maintains TOC Learning Network website including posting, hosting and domain activities. Works with the President in development activities for future enhancements and capabilities. </li></ul>

Government by Board of Directors-P3 <ul><li>Presentations Director .  Develops and coordinates user presentations for meetings including discussion groups and workshops.  Tracks past, present, and future speakers and their presentations.  Actively surveys members for topics of interest regarding presentations. </li></ul><ul><li>Promotions Director .  Arranges for guest speakers from professional organizations such as Goldratt Group, TOCICO, TOC VARS, and TOC business partners.  Works with the President in negotiating with sponsors and donors. </li></ul><ul><li>Facilities Director .  Arranges for meeting rooms, food and beverage, equipment and furniture, works with Promotions Director in developing tours of manufacturers, engineering firms, and sponsors of TOC Learning Network . </li></ul>

Government by Board of Directors-P4 <ul><li>These officers will be encouraged to attend every TOC Learning Network meeting and activity.  If an officer is unable to fulfill the responsibility of their office they will find a substitute to fulfill their duties for that meeting or activity. </li></ul><ul><li>Officers serve at the pleasure of the membership of TOC Learning Network and may be elected or replaced at any meeting via majority vote of those members in attendance. The meeting must be announced publicly four weeks in advance along with the election proposals and the meeting must be open to all members. </li></ul><ul><li>The Board will meet prior to each regular TLN meeting and when convened with reasonable notice by the President. </li></ul><ul><li>Travel cost and other reasonable expenses incurred by members of the board in execution of their duties are reimbursed by TOC Learning Network (if any funds available by local chapter) </li></ul>

Plan for funding – P1 <ul><li>Funding is to cover the costs of the standard brochure or printed material as global standardization only </li></ul><ul><li>Funds will be applied to the cost of the meeting room, equipment, snacks, hand outs, web site, or other expenses incurred by global TOC Learning Network activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Local TOC Learning networks are responsible for local project management and funding of their events. </li></ul><ul><li>The local Board of Directors will determine the funding method for TOC Learning Network .  At this time, there are no dues to participants.  At some future date it is possible that a membership fee could be established. </li></ul><ul><li>Goldratt Group will fund and host all International web hosting and database support. All local support must be funded and supported by local charter. </li></ul>
    12. 12. Guidelines for meetings – P1 <ul><li>Meetings should be held to support the local need. The following are some ideas: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Monthly with a specific topic each month scheduled for the year ahead </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Networking or ‘Brown bag’ meetings Lunch time or after work </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Case study discussion groups </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Company visits </li></ul></ul><ul><li>TOC Learning Network will meet on a regular basis one (1) time yearly.  At this time the schedule is to meet once a year at the TOCICO Conference.  </li></ul><ul><li>Each local TOC Learning Network is encouraged to send a representative to the annual TOCICO conference who will participate in the sub committee focusing on TOC Learning Networks. </li></ul><ul><li>There shall be at least quarterly if not monthly board meetings, time and venue to be decided by the local TLN and posted on the web site </li></ul>

Guidelines for meetings – P2 <ul><li>Participants and Sponsors will be encouraged to host the TOC Learning Network meeting. </li></ul><ul><li>Meeting agenda and subjects will be planned in advance by the Board of Directors.  Suggestions and requests from TOC Learning Network participants are of great importance and will be given top priority in setting the agenda for the next meeting. A time during every meeting will be designated for an open forum/discussion on subjects related to TOC. </li></ul><ul><li>Attendees are encouraged to volunteer to give case studies and other presentations related to TOC. </li></ul>

Guidelines for meetings – P3 <ul><li>Attendees are encouraged to attend the TOCICO conference and the TOC Learning Network local and national board members will hold the annual TOC Learning Network User group to decide directions/communications/support etc. </li></ul><ul><li>As available, the meeting schedules and agenda will be posted on the TOC Learning Network web site </li></ul>
    15. 15. Goals of web site for TLN – P1 <ul><li>http://www.toc-goldratt /toclearningnetwork is intended to be the primary communication resource </li></ul><ul><li>The website will support listings of every TOC Learning network Charters events, times, dates and locations. </li></ul>

Purpose of membership database <ul><li>A database of participants will be kept and supported by local chapters and existing membership for promotion of TLN </li></ul><ul><li>The purpose of the database is to support promotion and notification of TOC Learning Network events. </li></ul><ul><li>Sponsors and guest speakers may be informed only of the quantity of members, the job titles, and the professional responsibilities of TOC Learning Network members.  No direct contact information, names, or email addresses will be distributed by TOC Learning Network. </li></ul><ul><li>Members will have the option of prohibiting the distribution of their contact information. </li></ul><ul><li>The security and privacy of the membership database is the responsibility of the Board of Directors. </li></ul><ul><li>Abuse of the TOC Learning Network membership database will result in revocation of membership and exclusion from all further TOC Learning Network activities. </li></ul>
