      • Title 1 : Reading 40 minutes 4x
      • Academy of Reading : after school reading (5x)
      • Leap Track Reading : Reading group (4x)
      • ELL : 30 min. (4x)
      • ASES : After School help for homework. (5x a week, 2 hours a day)
      • Reading Club : After school reading for grades 1-3. (5x)
    11. Previous Interventions
      • Math Club : 3 rd grade math intervention, basic or higher 5x
      • SMAD : Leveled math instruction 3x
      • DIAL : Leveled reading instruction 3x
      • Students could be placed in more than one intervention.
    12. Don Pedro Interventions
      • After school instruction that lasted for 2 months, 1-2 afternoons a week.
          • Kids are frustrated .
          • Teachers are frustrated.
          • Parents are frustrated.
    13. One Solution
      • Create peer buddies
        • Train 6-8 th graders to teach K-3 rd graders using the computer.
          • Pull out for 30-40 minutes .
      • Each student will supervise the learning of 4 kids.

      • 20 peer instructors x 4 kids.
      • 80 kids receiving 40 minutes of extra reading instruction.
      • Cooperative Learning
      • A shift from “We don’t have enough money or staff.”
      • Now we have enough resources and the potential is unlimited.
