  • 5. For a strong thesis in an essay, you must answer the question asked in the prompt. Most prompts don’t have a question, so you have to imply the question from the given information.
  • 6. READ the following quotation: “The central task is to implant a will and a facility for learning; it should produce not learned but learning people.” THINK about the following statement. School is only the base of your knowledge and what you’ll learn. WRITE an essay explaining the importance of school.

  • 8. A STRONG THESIS NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED BY A STRONG TOPIC SENTENCE.
